CEIFA DBJ mission in Africa
Ceifa Ministry International in partnership with Heaven’s Family has been a part of launching a Discipled By Jesus Movement in Kenya. David Runyan and David LeGrande travelled to Kenya to preach about what it means to be a disciple, using the discipleship methods found in Hal Perkins book Discipled By Jesus. This initial trip has lit a fire in key leaders in Kenya.
The fire that now burns in these men and women’s hearts for discipleship is spreading like wildfire as they take what they have learned to neighboring countries, such as Tanzania and Malawi. A Discipleship Movement is happening as disciples are making disciples who make disciples.
Ceifa has recently helped get Discipled By Jesus translated into Swahili, the common language across much of Africa, and a trip back to promote the book and hold further discipleship trainings is already in the works!
Kenya DBJ mission
CEIFA has been actively involved in DBJ training conferences for the youth in Kenya since 2022, seeds which has bore many fruits, mainly successful graduates who are now disciple makers actively making disciples and disciple makers, who in turn make other disciples.
DBJ training in high schools
CEIFA ministry also took DBJ training to high schools, and donated DBJ books to school libraries, a first in the Kenya. This initiative has seen the seeds planted among the youth growing and causing multiplication of disciples all over Kenya. Since 2022, annual training conferences have been taking place and has seen hundreds of Kenyan youths graduate as disciple makers helping the project multiply.
Tanzania mission
As part of the East Africa mission, CEIFA ministry ventured into Tanzania to help provide clean water through well rehabilitation projects and also plant new churches by introducing DBJ among the marginalized communities, an initiative that has been very successful.
Since 2022, CEIFA has been supporting missionaries on the ground (Fred) to plant new churches and (Josh) to start a school among the marginalized Taturu community in West Tanzania. The efforts are still in place to ensure the lost and those who never heard the message are not left behind. Your prayers and support is highly appreciated.
The Chagana church with missionary Fred
Fred has been actively serving in Chagana village as a missionary since 2022, and has helped plant several churches in the villages, among them the Chagana church. The Taturu people are a marginalized community in Tanzania, with their main economic activity being pastrolism. They have been conservatives in their tradition, and never knew the gospel. Missionary Fred has helped spread the good news and has encouraged the baptism of hundreds; men, women and youths who are now disciples and disciple makers. Glory to God!
The Chagana school with missionary Josh
Chagana christian school in Tanzania is truly an answered prayer, after several visits in Chagana village for mission work, the need for an education was apparent and the school was launched in June 2023. Josh, who was then a media personnel, started his missionary journey by volunteering to teach at the school. From humble beginnings, the school has grown to now enrolling over 50 students who did not have the chance. The school offers free basic elementary and discipleship classes to the Taturu children and is now one year old and growing, running on support from well wishers. Your prayers and help are highly appreciated to help meet the needs for running the school.
Our prayer request for 2025; to have our own classroom that will cater for the growing number of students. The school has been using the Chagana church as the classroom.
