JOY CHILDREN’S HOMES
Malawi
In July 2023, assisted by one of CEIFA’s longtime supporters and mission team members, Ed James, CEIFA began a partnership with Bishop Lloyd Chizenga to sponsor the orphaned children of Joy Children’s Homes in the Chikwawa District, Mpagwalimba Village T/A Makhuwira, Malawi. There is a great need for the children of this remote area.
Since the partnership began, a second home has been built and there is a dream to build two more homes in the coming years to accommodate additional orphaned children. These children quickly stole the hearts of the Malawi Mission Team and are a blessing to the entire CEIFA family. Members of the CEIFA Malawi Mission Team communicate weekly with the overseers of the Children’s Homes and have monthly Zoom meetings to discuss the status of the homes and the welfare of the children.
In addition, several in-person visits to the Children’s Homes take place each year to strengthen the relationships being built with these children and their house parents and overseers. The two homes encompass a family unit that provides God-fearing house parents who live with the children and raise them within a loving Christian environment. There are 15 children living in each home. This smaller orphanage size dynamic allows the children to be a family, thrive, and grow, surrounded by Christian love and support.

The CEIFA family pays homage to Bishop Lloyd
Chizenga, the founder of Joy Children’s Homes.
Bishop Lloyd was called home to be with the Lord on July 28, 2024. He was a faithful servant of God who dedicated his life to caring for orphans, planting churches, and winning souls for Jesus Christ throughout Malawi and Mozambique. He touched many lives, and his compassion and love will not soon be forgotten, and his presence will be greatly missed.
